This Little Light

This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

Won't let Satan blow it out.
I'm gonna let it shine. . .

Let it shine til Jesus comes.
I'm gonna let it shine. . .

Hide it under a bushel - NO!
I'm gonna let it shine . . . let it shine, let it shine.

Chain Reaction

candleThe entire auditorium is covered in darkness. Hushed silence fills the air. A soft glow glimmers on one side of the room. Slowly it begins to grow as one by one, each person in the congregation lights their candle. The soft glow gradually transforms into a brilliant circle of light around the room. Now the entire congregation can see each other’s smiling faces.

Every year I look forward to our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. I enjoy it so much because it represents Jesus Christ as the light of the world.read more »

A Blast from Pageants Past

Pastor Dave Rende, a cast member of several of our past Christmas pageants, shares a few memories from years gone by:

“It was so different then — our church, stage, lighting, and sound system were so much smaller, yet the level of dedication that was put in by every member of the performance was no different than currently. I remember spending hours going over the lines with another cast member named Joe Sortman. Joe, who was always good for a laugh, took much of his valuable time to coach and encourage me. read more »

Postcards for You!

Do you have unsaved family members you would like to reach with the gospel? Perhaps they live far away. Maybe they have rejected your previous attempts to share Christ’s love and message of truth. Don’t give up — nothing is impossible with God.

Victory In Grace has the perfect holiday postcard for you. Not only does it include Scripture about Jesus’ birth, but it also contains the clear gospel message. Its theme — keep Christ in Christmas — could not be more applicable to our Godless day and age. We need Him more than ever.read more »

Year-End Giving

As the financial year draws to a close, we look back on all of the wonderful things the Lord has allowed us to do this year. Through the hard work of those in the congregation and the contributions we have received over the months, we were able to reach out and make a difference. But our needs don’t end at the close of the fiscal year. In fact, now is the time when we need the most support.

You may ask, “But what do you do with my contributions? How can they help?” We use contributions to not only pay our bills, but also to fund different areas of our ministry, special events and outreach programs. Here are a few examples of how your money can make a difference in the lives of others:read more »

Thanksgiving

calendar pagesEach Thanksgiving families all over the U.S. carve a large turkey, spread the table with their best tablecloths and china, and spend hours preparing side-dishes and cleaning their houses for visitors. In the process of all of this busyness, their brains swirl with thoughts, “What if the bird gets overcooked or the oven breaks down?” “I wonder if my in-laws will gripe about my cooking.” “I hope the house is clean enough to pass ‘holiday inspection.’”read more »
