“The people . . . are hungry for a real God to cling to as they have nothing else to hold onto. . . . Their eyes are sad, their faces are weary, and their souls are hungry for the truth.”

Evil . . . Darkness . . . Despair . . .

Truth . . . Light . . . Hope . . .

These abstract qualities converge in the ongoing battle for souls. Dr. Scudder and Pastor Jim Scudder, Jr. are both committed to advancing the gospel’s influence throughout the world. They have hosted foreign mission trips to countries such as Argentina, Belarus, India, the Philippines, and Thailand.

On every mission trip, the gospel is preached passionately. Members of our mission teams return with a freshened perspective of life and ministry, as well as a greater appreciation for religious freedom in America.

Through one of the ministries there, the Bible Baptist Church of Bahay Pare, we have been able to host a health clinic and have reached many souls for Christ. Last year we treated and witnessed to over 200 people.

Each time we have gone to Bahay Pare we have been eagerly greeted by the Flores family. They have served faithfully in ministry there for many years. As the head of the church, Pastor Nelson Flores and his caring wife, Dolce, have been a wonderful blessing to their people and a shining example of a couple truly dedicated to the Lord.

Last year during our trip, Pastor Flores was diagnosed with stage-four-terminal cancer. He fought a grueling physical battle against the disease. Despite his condition, he stood before his people with a smile and admonished them to press on.

Pastor Flores has now gone to be with the Lord, but his ministry still stands. The church is now pastored by his son-in-law Pastor Matt Wolff, a graduate of Dayspring Bible College. Matt has left the comfort of his home and his language to follow God’s call. He and his wife, Rina, are now missionaries to the Bible Baptist Church of Bahay Pare.

Pastor Nelson’s wife, Dolce, continues to serve the Lord alongside Her daughter, Rina, and son-in-law, Matt. As a team, they are pressing on for the cause of Christ.

Pastor Matt’s ministry needs your prayers and financial support.

Dr. Seecharan and Victory In Grace have a burning desire to see India reached with the clear gospel of grace. We have partnered together to accomplish this heart beat through the Solid Rock Theological Seminary. Here young men will learn how to clearly and effectively share the truth to an area of the world overflowing with false religions.

Since Dr. Seecharan’s Solid Rock Theological Seminary in Kerala India began, over 300 students have graduated. That means there are now over 300 more lights for the gospel of grace—300 more men willing to risk their lives for the truth in a dark and Godless country. These students will go on to accomplish great things for the Kingdom of Christ by planting churches, beginning orphanages and starting youth ministries.

We can continue to blaze through the darkness with the light of God’s grace. But we need your support, many of the students cannot afford their tuition or supplies. By donating only $50 a month, you can completely fund a student for an entire year. For less than $2 a day, you can help provide a young man with the tools to change lives all over India—to win more souls to the Kingdom of God.
