Today’s Scripture: Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Psalm 107:6-8
Think of some of the many blessings God has given us today. We have been given another day of life. We are loved by God. Salvation is free. We are blessed beyond even our comprehension. God freely gives to us even though He knows we are undeserving. He loved us and came to Earth knowing we would despise Him. He knew the wickedness of our hearts and yet still came to die for us. Though we sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
God is not content to sit back and watch us die and spend eternity in Hell. His love compels Him to work in our lives so the world might be saved. We can see God’s mighty hand when He miraculously provides for a need or heals a loved one, but do we see God’s hand when someone moves in down the street? God may be opening a door so that we can share the gospel with them. Maybe your flight got delayed so you would talk to the person waiting beside you.
God can do something wonderful through any situation. Think of when you got saved and how God used someone to change your eternal destiny. Most likely you got saved without a “Road to Damascus” experience. Thank God for His goodness and all His wonderful works, and ask Him to use you to be a blessing in someone’s life today.
