Life’s Little Interruptions

Today's Scripture: Psalm 115:3
If you’re like me you don’t enjoy being interrupted and you don’t enjoy waiting in line. Is there really anyone who does?
I travel quite frequently and have learned over the years to treat sudden changes in my schedule as fresh opportunities. It seems that every time I have a flight delayed or I’m forced to wait longer than I’ve anticipated, God brings someone for me to talk to. Someone with whom I can share His love.
A few years ago, my daughter, son in-law, and their two children were flying to Florida. On the flight, there was a fourteen year old girl who came onto the plane who was apparently petrified of flying. To the annoyance of many, she began to cry. But, Julie got up and sat next to the girl and began comforting her. Before long, she stopped crying. This gave her an opportunity to share the gospel with her parents. It wasn’t long before more passengers began to listen.
I don’t believe there are coincidences in life. God brings these "little interruptions" to give us opportunities for service, for growth, for ministry. We really have no power to stop them from happening. But, we do have power over reactions.
Will you embrace each interruption as a chance to do God’s will?
