Julie In Israel - Day 2

Julie here. Wow. We had a great day. First of all, one of my personal most favorite things of the Israel trip happened today. Yes, this is the thing I look forward to for an entire year before every Israel trip. What is this wonderful thing? Breakfast, of course. And not just any breakfast. Not just my typical breakfast of my bowl of half-hearted cereal with skim milk or a scrambled egg on a deluxe morning. But a real breakfast that is so delicious and wonderful that you have to see it to believe it. French toast, scrambled eggs, fresh baked breads, tons of yogurts, fish, smoked fish, salads, chocolate croissants, fresh squeezed orange juice. Wow!

After the delish food, we loaded the red bus(go red!) and drove to Capernaum, the amazing town of Jesus. It rained a bit but fortunately we didn't melt. It's hard to get upset about rain in Israel since it is so sought after and important to their economy. It really wasn't bad and we enjoyed it. Then on to Caesarea Phillipi which was gorgeous. I love the water flowing there and how green everything is. Some conies took up residence in an abandoned Mineret while we were there. We think they were doing the call to prayer. Then we went up into the golan and ate at the Druze village. We had the yummy Israeli Quesidilla's as Neal calls them. Flat bread spread with mild cheese, drizzled with olive oil and Zataar and then grilled. Yummo! Onward then to Tabga, a traditonal place where Jesus appeared to His disciples after the resurrection. Then on to the Jesus Boat and our wonderful boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. It was a perfect day. The rain cleared up and it was lots of fun getting to know everyone on our trip. We have all wonderful people and we are having a blast getting to know each other.
