Where Are My Weapons?

Today's Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:1-6
Yesterday we learned about the three enemies of the believer—enemies bent on destroying your relationship with God and rendering you ineffective in the body of Christ.
So you’re probably thinking. That’s great, what weapons do I have to fight back? I’m glad you asked, because even though we face a formidable, determined, evil foe, we have hope of victory.
First of all, you must know that the weapons with which we fight are not of our own making. In fact, the surest way to lose is to fight our spiritual enemies with our own strength, strategies, or self-will. Even though this goes against popular self-help advice, the Bible says "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (physical or fleshly), but spiritual."
In 1 Corinthians 10, The Apostle Paul says that the battle is won in the mind and heart. When we daily yield to God’s will, we reorder our thinking with the Word of God and need to remain stedfast in prayer. In Galatians, this is referred to as "walking in the Spirit." Literally, walking hand in-hand with the Holy Spirit.
The truth is that you can have victory over the world system, your flesh, and the devil by claiming God’s promises and yielding to the Holy Spirit. It is God’s power that wins the war and not your own.
