The Bema Seat

Today's Scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:9-17

The believer’s judgment differs in one major point then the unbeliever’s. While the unbeliever gets judged, because of his unbelief, he can only go to Hell.

The believer will go to Heaven not because of anything he has done but because he has trusted in the payment Christ made on the cross for his sins.

The believer will be judged at what is called the “Bema Seat” or the “Reward Seat”. There are many verses and passages of scripture that talk about this. Here are two of them.

The believer will be judged on his service to Christ while on the earth and will be rewarded accordingly. There are some who will get many rewards in Heaven because of their faithful, dedicated service. There will be others who have never served the Lord who will be ashamed when they see their lack of rewards.

Christian, be ready for the “Bema Seat Judgment” that is to come. Serve Christ with all you have. You will be so glad when you stand before the perfect judge.

Today's Quote:
The believer will be judged in the light with which he judged others.
