Church Signs

Today's Scripture: 1 Timothy 1:6

Some Church Signs:

It’s hard to stumble when you’re down on your knees.

Can’t sleep? Try counting your blessings.

Forbidden fruit creates many jams.

The best vitamin for a Christian is B1.

I know when I’m driving around in my city or in another city, I’m always looking at church signs. Sometimes the signs have pithy and interesting sayings that provoke sermon or chapel ideas. Occasionally, the signs have sayings that I’m sure confuse many nonbelievers. But whatever the case, many times the church sign is a clue to the spirit of a church.

What kind of sign do you “signal” to the world? Do your co-workers know you as happy and willing to help them out? Then your “sign” will help draw that person to the Christ within you. Or are you known as a person difficult to please? Then your “sign” is certainly keeping people from wanting the Jesus that you possess. First Peter 2:9 states,

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”

Determine right now to have the right kind of sign.
