Lost in the Woulds

Today's Scripture: Matthew 6:33
“Are you lost in the woulds? A church bulletin described how many people say things like, “I would go to church, but it is my only day off; and even if I did go, the pastor preaches way past my lunchtime.” Another person might say, “I would go to help in the church youth program, but I must get up early Monday morning and I need my rest.” Others might say, “I would tithe but I can’t afford it; I would attend prayer meeting on Wednesday night but I always have another engagement; I would invite people out for free pizza and pop after service, but I don’t have a “knack” for meeting strangers. I would read my Bible and pray every day but I barely have time in the morning to get ready for work. Doesn’t God understand my schedule?”
Every believer has a tendency to get lost in the woulds. Instead of prioritizing God, we put Him at the bottom of the to-do list.
Take a moment and decide not to get lost in the woulds. If you were lost in a forest, the real “woods”, you would feel concerned about finding your way home. In the same way, don’t stay lost in the woulds. The Bible is your road map and it will lead you safely home.
Today's Quote: God never commands and commissions without providing grace to obey.
