Today's Scripture: Psalm 23:4
““Ten-year-old Timothy stumbled in the darkness of the forest. Alone and discouraged, he moved along in a feeble attempt to make it back to the campsite. “Lord, please get me back,” he whispered. Finally, the moon appeared from behind the clouds. It filled the forest with a soft glow — just enough light for Timothy to find his way. Before long, he saw the distant glimmer of the campfire.
It is when things seem the darkest that God gives us our greatest encouragement. In the Scriptures, He promises that He will always be there for us. The Bible tells us that even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death He will be there to comfort us. This means that no matter where we are He will uplift and protect us. He is our “Everywhere Encourager”.
Does your path seem to be lost in the darkness? Are you frustrated and confused about the future? Maybe you are a college student looking for the next step, worried that you will miss God’s will for your life. Perhaps you are a single parent, not sure of how you are going to pay for that next bill. You are not forgotten or alone. Remember to have faith in God. Rest in His Word and seek Him in prayer. The Everywhere Encourager will illuminate your path.
When we let God guide He will provide. —Unknown Author
