Today's Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11
Laura sat in the middle of the heap of college brochures scattered all over her living room floor. “Honey, what are you doing?” Laura looked up at her father with tears welling in her eyes.
“I am trying to figure out where God wants me to go to college. I just don’t understand why it has to be so confusing. I have been worrying about this for months.”
Laura’s father sat down beside her. “Laura, God does not want you to be agonizing over His will for your life. If you are obeying God’s Word and seeking His will daily, He will show you the answer in His time.”
Although it is difficult when we cannot see the next step, the Lord does not want us to be in a state of continual confusion. In His Word, we are told that He thinks thoughts of peace toward us. He knows our end from our beginning. We can rest in the assurance that He has a plan for our lives.
Have you been faced with a life-altering decision? Perhaps you feel anxious that you will not make the right choice. All of us have been there at one time or another. You are not alone. When you feel overwhelmed by what you are facing, seek godly council and dwell on His Word. When you are doing right and seeking God’s will everyday, He will not hide His way from you.
Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable and receives the impossible.
