Today's Scripture: Psalm 24:3
Every Christian is involved in a building program—except we aren’t building a home or an office building. Every action we take, every thought we have, and every decision we make affects our treasure in Heaven.
1 Corinthians 3:11-16 tells us, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
What are your building materials? Are you building with love, gratitude, and a humble attitude? Or are you aimlessly building with laziness, ingratitude, and indifference?
Have you had a good attitude today toward a job you need to accomplish? Are you relying on the Lord’s strength to help you pass a difficult test at school? Are you trusting the Lord to help you as you reach out to someone who doesn’t realize she needs Jesus?
If you are doing these things then you can be assured that your spiritual house will be filled with treasure.
