You Can Hear From God

Today's Scripture: Hebrews 1:1-2; Romans 8:15-16

Who has access to God? That’s a question that many people grapple with. Many believers feel that because they are not "spiritual" enough or don’t know as much about the Bible, that somehow they are disqualified from hearing God and hearing God speak to them.

And some religions do teach that you have to access the Father through a religious leader. But that’s not what the Bible tells us. When Jesus died on the cross, He reconciled us to God, so by faith in His finished work, we have complete and total communion with God.

So any Christian anywhere, whether it’s in a foxhole, in a cubicle, on a ball field, in the car—anywhere—can speak to the God of the Universe.

Yet we often find ourselves neglecting this miraculous opportunity. None of us would pass up the opportunity to meet the President or the CEO of a major corporation or a famous athlete. But we allow the cares of life to crowd out God’s voice.

God wants us to speak to Him and He wants to speak to us.

Set aside time today to talk to the Creator of the Universe. You won’t have to make an appointment.

Today's Quote:  Pray for great things, expect great things, work for great things, but above all, pray. —R.A. Torrey
