Where is the Peace?
Daily Reflections, Wednesday, December 26, 2007
Today's Scripture: Isaiah 7:14
Our municipalities have laws against disturbing the peace. Nations that have long been at odds with one another, have also long talked about peace.
When can countries around the world have peace? How can they have peace? They search and search. They compromise. They try force. They try everything. But in the end, the evilness of men’s very hearts keep them from the peace they desire so much.
No peace treaty that man has ever devised has been kept completely. In man there is no peace.
Why? Because men and women cannot be at peace with God on their own merit. And if there is no peace with God, then there can be no peace in the soul.
When people reject the Creator, they are rejecting peace. Their paths will be ones of turmoil. Everything is affected by this rejection.
Take a moment and share this great peace with someone else. Tell him or her of the God who sent His Son so he or she could be made whole. It is the best gift you can give anyone this Christmas season.
Today's Quote: There will be no peace until the Prince of Peace returns.
