The Devil Wants Your Mind

Today's Scripture: Philippians 2:5; 1 Peter 5:8
Have you ever stopped to consider that the devil wants control of your mind? The Bible says he walks about “like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” Whether you realize it or not, whether you like it or not, the devil wants your mind. He wants to control your thoughts.
Why? Because your thoughts control your actions.
That’s why the Bible spends so much ink on passages urging us to surrender our thought life to Christ. We’re in a battle and if we don’t yield to Christ, the enemy will gain control.
Satan is subtle. He crafts messages designed uniquely for your life. Messages he knows will get you off track and away from your God-given purpose. Whether a slight doubt or a brief temptation, a complaint against your church, your boss, or your spouse. It will be something you dwell on.
If you don’t give God control of those thoughts, you’ll soon be headed down the path of despair and rebellion, which will lead to your destruction.
Don’t be oblivious to the war. Arm yourself for the battle by meditating on God’s Word, remaining in constant prayer, and filling your life with believers who hold you accountable.
