Today's Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 3:1-3

Back in the late 1800’s when the lumber industry was booming in Minnesota, a group of surveyors missed over one hundred and forty acres. The Lost Forty, as it is known today, was mislabeled and classified as wetland. Now, because of this mistake, there is a forest of 400 year old white pines standing undisturbed and protected for visitors to enjoy. To this day, you can still wander those lost acres.

Paul, once lost in Athens himself on his own lost forty, wandered alone in an unknown city with not a friend to rely on. Timothy was not even at his side, because he had sent him to check on the church at Thessalonica. Paul needed to know if they were still growing in the Lord and he couldn’t stand their silence any more. Since Paul knew that his being lost in Athens had the Lord’s approval, he was willing to strengthen the infant church no matter what the cost was to him personally.

Are you in a time in your life when you feel like you are wandering your own lost forty? Remember, God is right beside you waiting to help. During these times, Christ is the only One that can truly find you. He stretches out His hand. Will you take it right now? He will bring you home.

Today's Quote:  There is no one so far lost that Jesus cannot find him and cannot save him. Andrew Murray
