Today’s Scripture: He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:20

When I read Revelation 2122, I can’t wait to see everything that is described in person. Three times in the last chapter of the Bible, Jesus reminds us he will come quickly. It will be before you know it! Are you excited?

I overheard a young boy telling his daddy he was so excited about something that was coming up. He said, “I can’t wait a whole month! I want it to happen today!” He had great anticipation for the coming event.

On another occasion, I was watching some young boys play hockey, and I noticed that one of the boys on the side of the rink was literally shaking because he was so excited to get into the game and hit! Whether he wanted to hit the other team’s players or the puck, who knows? However, this young man was so excited to go in and play the game.

When you think about all the things in store for us, are you excited? When you think about sin, darkness, tears, and goodbyes never happening again, are you excited? You ought to be shaking with excitement. In addition, Jesus said that He is coming quickly! Our response should be the same as John’s was. “Amen! Even so, come, Lord Jesus!”

As we anticipate the coming of our Lord, the millennial reign of Christ, the New Heaven, and the New Earth, let’s remember to live like it will happen tomorrow. Jesus is coming quickly!
