Today’s Scripture: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. I Corinthians 8:1b

Have you ever tried to imagine how much God knows? The smallest details of every cell are so complicated compared to the most advanced inventions we have made. The wonders yet to be discovered in space and in the oceans are without number, yet God created all of it. With all the knowledge there is to know, we haven’t even scratched the surface of what there is to learn.

Albert Einstein said, “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” The internet is a great source to find out how thoughtless people can be. You can listen to someone tell you something, and you just know that he or she is ignorant on the subject they are talking about. Now, compare all the knowledge of God with the wisest person on earth, and the comparison is that he is ridiculously ignorant compared to Him.

Even if you know every fact searchable by Google, you would still know less than 1/1,000,000th of what God knows. I Cor. 8:2 says that you don’t know anything except what God allows you to know.

Because we know so little compared to God, we should never be prideful about the knowledge we have. However, that is so common among people. “Knowledge puffeth up.” Charity, however, edifies others. In other words, love builds up. Do you use the knowledge you have as a weapon, or do you use that knowledge with love to help others and encourage them? Let’s make it a goal today to use our knowledge for the edifying of others. Perhaps you can share your knowledge of Christ to an unsaved coworker. That would be really using your knowledge for building up!
