Today’s Scripture: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

What sound do you long to hear? Is it the chirping of birds on a bright, warm, sunny morning? Maybe it’s the sound of the surf rolling onto the shore or the breeze blowing through the trees. It could be the arrival of your family in for a visit. Whatever sound thrills you, it should pale in comparison to the sound of the gospel.

The gospel is the hope for the world. Yet, if the message is perverted, it brings fear and doubt. When your eternal destiny is unsure, how can you have hope or peace? If there was anything dependent upon you, you could not be confident that you had done enough. Thank God He made a way. Though you were a sinner destined for Hell, the payment for your sins was offered through the death of His Son.

God’s Word presents salvation in such a clear, precise manner. If you take Scripture to mean what it says, there can be no confusion about how to be saved. God’s grace is offered to the whole world – He is not willing that any should perish. You have eternal life when you trust Him alone. This is the greatest news in the world.

So many people are searching for hope but are being led astray by lies. You have the hope they need. When the lost hear this truth, many will find that amazing grace is the sweetest sound they have ever heard.
