It was more than a miracle. Jesus had changed the chemical properties of water into non-intoxicating wine. Unless water is collected from a spring, it generally contains no vitamins and minerals. Grape juice, on the other hand, contains many vitamins, minerals, and complex compounds in its chemical makeup. It contains Vitamins A, B, K, and G, along with sodium, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, fluoride, selenium, sugar, grape proteins, sulfites, citric acid, and amino acids. It is chemically impossible to produce grape juice from water without these ingredients present. Nevertheless, in an instant Jesus created and mixed these ingredients from ordinary drinking water. Jesus could do this because He is the Creator.

Where we see valueless water pots, Jesus sees wine. He is not bound by our limitations. His compassion is sufficient to recognize our needs. His power is sufficient to supply them. His pure eyes see potential beyond our closed doors. When Jesus gets involved in our lives, He delivers us from a hopeless end and gives us endless hope. He can do this because He is the Savior.

It is very easy to look at our circumstances and conclude that the case is closed; the game is over; the door is shut; the situation is hopeless. Have you all but given up your hopes of ever getting married, finding a job, or recovering from an illness? After experiencing a series of disappointments, you have thrown up your hands in defeat because you think you have exhausted all of your options. Let your Creator have the final say on your situation. If He can create grape juice from water, then He can create an outcome far different than you would have ever thought possible in your life. The Creator is your Savior. Are you ready to trust Him with today’s challenges?
