After meeting in high school and attending Dayspring together, Jason Tanney and Nikki Wickert realized they had found a lifelong partner in one another. Happily married, they now have the blessing of sharing their lives with Blake, their two-year-old son.
Looking back, it is clear to see the Lord prepared both Jason and Nikki for His master plan. While attending Dayspring, Nikki worked in the preschool teaching 3- and 4-year-olds and also helped in the sound department. Jason worked in maintenance, the Victory In Grace media department, and then was placed in leadership of the Victory In Grace mail room. Both ministered with the college singing team. Nikki graduated from Dayspring in 2008. Jason graduated in 2011 and was ordained at this year’s graduation ceremony.
Jason and Nikki share, “Dayspring equipped us to serve by teaching us to be flexible and knowledgeable. We were taught to be willing to serve in whatever capacity we were needed. That, we believe, is the most valuable thing to learn. If you are not willing, God cannot use you to your fullest potential.”
The couple is soon moving to Wisconsin to serve alongside Pastor Dan and Aimee Reehoff. At their church, DaySpring Baptist, Jason and Nikki will help with summer VBS as well as begin a junior high and high school youth group and Sunday School class. Please keep them in prayer as they follow the path God has for them.
