There is one question I ask people that is more life-altering than any other question in the entire world. The question comes from John 6:47, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
After I present people with John 6:47 and the free gift of salvation, I ask them, “Do you ‘hath’ it?” When they understand what it means to place their trust in Christ, they exclaim, “Praise the Lord, I ‘hath’ it!”
After experiencing another Grace Conference, I find my zeal renewed for reaching souls with the gospel. While this time of year always causes me to rejoice in the simplicity of salvation’s plan, it also reminds me that many people are confused about the doctrine of predestination.
Friends, salvation is by faith alone. There was no blood clot on the cross. God did not create some people to go to Heaven and others to go to Hell. I like to say that I wasn’t predestined to believe in predestination. Why? Because it is against God’s nature to condemn people to Hell without a choice.
We need to share with the lost that we do not have to persevere to the end to be chosen as one of the elect receiving eternal life. John 6:47 states all we need to do is believe Christ’s blood paid for all our sins. He is the only Way to Heaven.
Christian, there is no message more important than this. We must go into all the world and preach the clear gospel with fervency. We need to explain the free gift of salvation and ask, “Do you ‘hath’ it?”
God is not willing that any should perish. Are you?
Fearless under God’s Grace,
