Today’s Scripture: The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs¬†18:10

Fiery darts are landing on all sides. Surrounded only by open pastures, you run-trying to avoid falling prey to one of the pointed arrows being shot at you one after another. Your pursuer is untiring, relentless and strong. By the grace of God, you reach this magnificent tower fortified by stone seemingly reaching to the Heavens. It is unlocked, yet you cower against the door. Exhausted, you choose to give up rather than running into the safety the structure has to offer.

Believer, this is you. Whether you realize it or not, you are in this predicament with arrows of fire flying toward you each day, some days more than others. Your untiring enemy, Satan, will stop at nothing to see you fall.

But praise God, we have a high tower to run into and be safe. Sometimes we do something that costs us the victory – we rely on our own strength. When we reach the foot of our stronghold, we feel too tired to run in and slam the door behind us. Instead we give in; we fall prey to the devil.

Through Christ, we can see things from the correct perspective. Even though it may not always feel like it, our God is always watching out for us. We can only think in human terms, but He knows the beginning from the end. And from that Hightower we have in Christ, sometimes we can catch a little glimpse of His perspective.

If you are looking for peace, seek God’s help, strength, and wisdom-not that of men. Follow the Lord and be blessed. Cry out to Him for help, and He will supply all your needs in His riches in glory.

No matter what darts you are facing today, don’t cower. Run to your Tower.
