Today’s Scripture: I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19

The “Endangered Species Act” protects 3 amphibians, 56 birds, 7 clams, 2 crustaceans, 29 fish, 8 mammals, 21 reptiles, 2 snails, and 42 plants… AND THEIR UNBORN OFFSPRING.

A Florida man was arrested for stealing turtle eggs off the beach. He defended himself by saying that eggs were not yet life. His defense was no good. They convicted and fined him because to the law, a turtle egg is recognized as a life, but an unborn human baby is not!

People have been fined for killing cats, mistreating dogs, etc. However, there is no fine for killing a baby, not even a partially born baby. I do not support mistreating animals, obviously, but if we are protecting the lives of creatures, then we ought to protect human life.

We are called to choose life, and we are called to love others. Therefore, we must conclude that it is wrong to take any innocent life, inside or outside the womb.

Earlier this year, Norma McCorvey died. She was the “Jane Roe” of the famous Roe vs. Wade case, which ended up legalizing abortion. Her story is a great reminder of God’s forgiveness that He offers to all of us. Later in her life, she was told the wonderful truth of the Gospel, and she believed it. Then she dedicated her life speaking on behalf of the unborn. Her goal was to see the Roe vs. Wade ruling overturned.

When asked if her involvement in that ruling haunts her, she replied, “At first it did, but now I know that Jesus’ blood forgives me of all my sins.”

The truth is no matter what we may have done or been involved with, God’s mercy is greater than all our sin! If you have had an abortion or have had some part with one, realize God loves you. If you have accepted Him as your Savior, there is no more condemnation!
