On September 11, 2001, something very bad happened to our nation. We had some evil people come and destroy 3,500 innocent lives, and it’s reprehensible what they did. But do you know what happened on September 12 and didn’t make the news? 4,000 lives were extinguished. 4,000 more were lost on the 13th and each day afterward. Every day in the United States, the lives of 4,000 unborn babies are taken. That adds up to the staggering number of 1.5 million each year.
If you combined the populations of New York City (8,000,000+), Los Angeles (nearly 4,000,000), San Francisco (nearly 1,000,000), Dallas (1,000,000+), Chicago (nearly 3,000,000), St. Louis (350,000+), Philadelphia (1,500,000+), Detroit (nearly 1,000,000), Atlanta (500,000+), Miami (400,000+), Houston (2,200,000+), and Kansas City (nearly 500,000) and counted at the rate of 1.5 million a year, you would determine the number of babies killed since the passing of Roe vs. Wade in 1973.
Taking the life of a baby is a sin against God, the nation, and other people. But is there anything we can do about it? Yes. Here are six things:
- Work and pray for the overturning of Roe vs. Wade.
- Promote sexual morality at home.
- Have more compassion for all those involved.
- Speak out clearly without apology.
- Refuse to be swayed by pro-choice scientists and “experts,” for they have no moral base.
- Pray for national revival.
God does care about the unborn. Put these six things into practice today and prove that you do, too.
