Let me introduce you to Norma McCorvey, the “Roe” of Roe vs. Wade. After living a life of open and often malicious antagonism toward God and pro-life advocates, God worked in her life through a little girl named Emily. Norma trusted Christ as her Savior, and she has been a leader of the pro-life movement ever since.
In an interview with talk show host, Sean Hannity, Norma was asked if she felt a burden as the plaintiff in Roe vs. Wade. She said that she did experience guilt for a long time, but not anymore. Here’s what she said, “I’ve been saved by the blood of the Lamb through Jesus Christ, and so I’m just here.” While giving her personal testimony, Norma stated, “I’m one hundred percent sold out to Jesus and one hundred percent pro-life. No exceptions. No compromise.”
It’s amazing to me that the woman at the center of the pro-abort ruling is now promoting the cause for life. Praise God for His grace. Norma is our sister in Christ. God completely forgave her and is using her to accomplish more for Him than she ever did before the court ruling.
God’s grace will not only meet us where we are, but it will take us to a place where we can be most effective in His service. Don’t let your failure cause you to lose sight of grace. Therein lies salvation, forgiveness, and restoration. Friend, if God can use Norma McCorvey, He can use you. He’s not finished with you yet.
God loves us not because of who we are, but because of Who He is. — Unknown Author
