How many messages do you have sitting in your inbox right now? If you’re like most of us in this fast-pace environment, you probably have quite a few. Some are junk mail, others are newsletters you signed up for, still there are some important messages from people you probably would like to contact, but just haven’t the time.
Life can be compared, perhaps, to a giant inbox. We’re often so busy that we put important things on the back-burner in order to address those that are urgent. Many times, we neglect, through no fault of our own, people who would like to have some of our time.
Isn’t it great that God doesn’t have this problem? He can address the needs of millions of Christians around the globe at the same time, with the same level of urgency and concern, and without sacrificing any of what He has to offer. He’s open for business twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. It doesn’t matter who we are, what our social standing is, and what kind of problems we have.
You could say that God’s inbox is always empty because He’s always addressing the urgent messages from his dear children. Yet, it’s altogether full because millions of people are lifting up requests in His name.
As you scroll through your emails today, maybe send a short message to God by way of prayer. Tell him you’re grateful that He always has time for you. Grateful he never considers your messages to be junk mail.
