Today’s Scripture: My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. Psalm 5:3

One of the greatest failures in the church today is the lack of prayer. We need to pray as individual Christians and as a church. We should be praying fervently for all those who are in authority, our fellow believers, our family members, and for a revival in the churches across America. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to sweep America with prayer!

Jeremiah 32:27 states, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” There is nothing too hard for the Lord! If we pray to our omnipotent, all-powerful God, He has promised to hear us.

How is it that we can pray so boldly to the God Who created us? It is only through God’s Son, Jesus Christ, that we can have this access to Him. Jesus Christ came and paid the penalty for our sin. It is only through His blood that we can go to Heaven. It is only through His blood that we can go to God the Father in prayer.

No man or woman accomplishes so much with so little expenditure of time as by prayer.

Christian, spend time in prayer to God. During a quiet moment in your day, bow your head and thank God for your blessings. Before you eat your lunch or dinner, take a moment to pray. When you go to bed, spend time praying to your Heavenly Father. He has made it so you can approach His throne boldly. Make sure you take advantage of that blessed privilege today.
