Today’s Scripture: Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21:21-22

Have you ever taken time to consider the importance of prayer? Before he went to be with the Lord, John R. Rice shared that he dreamed he went up to Heaven and saw a room. When he asked one of the angels, “What is in this room?” the angel replied, “I think you need to go in and see.”

He entered the room and saw all kinds of wonderful things. “What is all of this?”

The angel told him, “These are all of the things God would have given you if you only would have asked.”

That truly is something for our minds to ponder. Even though it was just a dream, the truth behind it is real. Although He will not answer prayers outside of His will, the Lord promises to answer prayer even better than we imagined. Who knows how many incredible things He could do in our lives if we would simply have the faith to ask.

Do you have something on your heart you have not taken before the Lord? Perhaps you feel your request is too much to ask. Nothing is too big for God. His answers are so great that we cannot even fully comprehend them. Often they come about in ways we would have never suspected. Bring your desires and burdens before Him. God is waiting to give you the blessings if you only ask.
