Today’s Scripture: How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Isaiah 52:7
A missionary sat near the deathbed of his first convert. The dying man said to him, “Brother, I heard you preached a sermon about Heaven last evening. I could not go to hear you preach, but I’m going to Heaven myself. When I get there, I shall go first to the Lord Jesus Christ and thank Him that He ever sent you to tell me of His love. Then, Brother, I shall come back to the gate and sit there until you come, and take you to Jesus.”

The Southern Gospel group, Greater Vision, sings a song entitled, “Just One More Soul.” The chorus goes like this: “If just one more soul were to walk down the aisle, it would be worth every struggle; it would be worth every mile. A lifetime of labor is still worth it all, if it rescues just one more soul.”

Won’t it be glorious in Heaven when we see the fruit of our labors for the Lord! Not only will we see those we have won to Christ, but also those we have restored to fellowship-those who fell through the cracks: the single mother, the shut-in, the disabled. These are the people we need to reach out to and help.

All of Heaven rejoices when we make an investment in the lives of others.
