A little bread goes a long way. Our church hosts a ministry called Bread of Life. We take bread and pastries donated by local bakeries and offer it to people with a gospel tract. This gives our church members an opportunity to tell others about Jesus, the Bread of Life.

Bread is a staple prized around the world for its taste, aroma, quality, and texture. It can be enjoyed with any meal and at any temperature. But its freshness must be preserved. Otherwise, it will become stale.

Even if bread is consumed in its prime, its consumer will grow hungry again. But the Bread of Life promises to satisfy our hunger for all eternity. Therefore, we cannot allow this precious commodity to grow stale to potential consumers.

There is not a need in this world Christ cannot supply. AIDS, poverty, world peace, and a host of other concerns find in Him a sure Remedy. It is for us to keep His truth fresh. We must share the gospel clearly, with authority and conviction. The world must be confronted with its need, and see why Christ alone can meet it.

Do you really believe Jesus is the Answer for the world today? The world is starving. Offer the Bread of Life and show others how Christ can put an end to their spiritual hunger.

There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread. — Mahatma Gandhi
