Let’s look at the following quote from writer, John B. Gough:

What is a minority? The chosen heroes of this earth have been in the minority. There is not a social, political, or religious privilege that you enjoy today that was not bought for you by the blood and tears and patient sufferings of the minority. It is the minority that have vindicated the humanity in every struggle. it is the minority that have come out as iconoclasts to beat down the Dragons their fathers have worshipped—the old abuses of society. It is the minority that have stood in the van of every moral conflict and achieved all that is noble in the history of the world. You will find that each generation has been always busy in gathering up the scattered ashes of the martyred heroes of the past, to deposit them in the golden urn of a nation’s history.

As believers, we are definitely in the minority. We live in a culture where everything is permitted except a deep, abiding faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is okay to express your opinion about anything as long as it isn’t a “right-wing” opinion.

And yet I’d rather be in God’s minority than in any majority in the world. Remember, God doesn’t work as man does. He specializes in taking the weak things of the world and confounding the mighty with them. God specializes in taking people with no special talents or gifts and using their faithfulness to turn the world upside down.

I’m in the minority and proud of it. I know you are, too.
