Today’s Scripture: I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. PsalmĀ 34:1-3

It is important that we learn to trust the Lord even in difficult situations. God delights in giving His children protection. One of the ways we can increase our faith is by praising the Lord.

It is easy just to focus on your troubles instead of the greatness of God. Yes, our troubles can be terrible sometimes. It can be difficult to see the light in the darkness of our grief and sorrow, but it is important that we learn to praise the Lord.

There was once a business man who had devoted his entire life to his career. But a possible merger with another company made it look like he could lose his job. He worried constantly about the prospect until one day, his little daughter choked on a piece of popcorn. Fortunately, he was able to dislodge the object that kept his daughter from breathing. Later, he realized that while he was still concerned about his job, he needed to thank the Lord for the gift of his little girl.

The Devil delights in attacking us when we are the most susceptible to losing our faith in the Lord.

When you pray today, focus on the goodness of the Lord. Write down a list of things that He has done for you in the last three months. Praise God for each of those things, and focus on God’s grace and kindness throughout the day. Keep your gaze on Heaven; it will make your life easier on the earth!
