Today’s Scripture: Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:16

If you were told you had one week to live, what would you do? I’m not talking about the stunned reaction or wanting to get another opinion. I’m asking what you would do with that last week if you knew the diagnosis was true. Would you visit your family you haven’t seen in years, travel to a destination you have always wanted to go to, or sit at home and mope because this happened to you? What I hope you would do would be to take every moment and opportunity you had to share the gospel with those around you.

Friend, we don’t know how long we have to live. You may have 60-70 years left, but you are not even promised tomorrow. Because of this, we need to live each day like it is our last. Would you want to stand before the Lord knowing you didn’t serve Him like you should have? We need to take advantage of each opportunity to reach the lost with the message of salvation.

Each day, thousands of people pass into eternity-most without hope of salvation through Christ. Each day we don’t spend living for the Lord is a day that is wasted. If we don’t shine as lights in the darkness, the lost will die and spend eternity in Hell. The world is dying in their sins; let’s use every moment we have to share God’s offer of salvation with them!
