Today’s Scripture: Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Matthew¬†6:25

A man was walking off a ship carrying two huge anvils. As he was walking across the plank to the dock, suddenly, the plank broke because of the weight. As the man starts to sink, he yells, “Help, Help!” The man thought, “If no one is going to help me, I am going to have to drop one of these anvils.

“Friends, don’t let the burden of your trials keep you from placing them at the feet of Jesus.

A pastor told the story of a young couple that came into his office with a beautiful baby. They looked really sad. When he asked what was wrong, the man said, “Life is not even worth living. I don’t have a job. Nothing is going right for us.”

The pastor replied, “Well, how is your health?” The man said, “Oh, it’s great. It couldn’t be better.”

The pastor asked, “How much would you sell your wife and child for?”

The man was aghast. “I wouldn’t sell my wife and baby!”

The pastor said, “Do you know there are millionaires who would pay everything they had for your health right now?”

The man answered, “Well, I suppose you are right. I didn’t really think about how precious my health was.”

The pastor continued, “Do you know there are people in other countries who would leave behind everything just for the chance to go to America?”

When the man agreed, the pastor said, “Well, then, you’re pretty rich aren’t you?” The man walked out of the pastor’s office with a whole new attitude.
