Today’s Scripture: And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Colossians¬†3:23

“Please read this; it will change your life,” Tracy said as she handed the tract to the cashier.

“Wow, Tracy, you are always so good about handing out tracts,” commented Lauren as the group of friends walked out of the store.

A few weeks later, Tracy went shopping again- this time without her friends. As she checked out, she opted not to give out a tract. ‘After all, no one else is here to see me pass it out anyways,’ she reasoned.

Many of us are guilty of having Tracy’s mindset. Well, no one will know the difference if I don’t hand a tract to the waiter. No one else will think twice that I didn’t help the older woman struggling with getting her groceries in the car.

We neglect to do things because no one is there to praise us. Rather than doing things to be noticed, Scripture commands us to do all things to the glory of God. It should not matter whom we are with; God is always watching.

Do you live your life to be the seen or the unseen? Perhaps you are a musician who plays in church just to be noticed. You may be a people-pleaser, always trying to appear helpful and spiritual. Only what is done for Christ will last. Choose to live your life as the unseen today; only then will it be seen in Heaven.
