Today’s Scripture: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16

Nail by nail, board by board, day in and day out, Noah worked on a project for a purpose that seemed non-existent to everyone around him. After all, no one had ever seen rain before. Though the Lord gave him strength to accomplish his purpose, Noah probably had many days when he felt frustrated, discouraged, and weak.

I’m sure that the ridicule Noah received from others was beyond anything you or I ever have experienced. But, I feel that in the days to come, we will understand what Noah felt when he was following God’s will. Each day, more and more people are taking it upon themselves to challenge the beliefs we stand on and the God we love.

You had better believe that when those first couple of raindrops fell to the ground, Noah’s ark began to make sense to those who laughed at him month after month. Unfortunately, it was too late for them to heed Noah’s warning. The opportunity for each of them to place their faith in God’s command was over and their door of salvation was shut.

Friend, although people may look at you strangely and mock you for speaking the truth of God’s grace, there is no task more amazing and crucial than being the messenger of God’s salvation. Today, there is an ark of salvation that is open to all. But, there is coming a time when God is going to have to close that door. Today, you are Noah to a world that is about to drown in their sins. Are you standing strong on the truth and doing all you can to accomplish what the Lord entrusted you to do? Now is the time. Tomorrow may be too late.
