Today’s Scripture: This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians¬†5:16

I was recently out running on a beautiful forest preserve trail. I heard mockingbirds and meadowlarks. I saw beautiful yellow and white flowers. A red wing blackbird took flight from the grass beside the trail. The sky was partly cloudy. It was a great day to be alive.

I had come across numerous splits in the trail. I had a choice: I could turn right or I could turn left. I was at a location on the trail because of the choices I made.

At numerous points throughout each day, you and I make choices. Will we walk in the Spirit or the flesh? Each decision affects the rest of our day and the rest of our life.

Will you be kind to your wife? Will you prioritize reading God’s Word? Will you abide in Christ as your boss criticizes your work?

Some Christians consider the decision at each “Y” in the trail too big a decision to make. Or they feel they are not qualified to make such an important decision. Remember: no decision is a decision.

No decision is walking in the flesh.

I pray God will help me turn the right way with the rest of the important decisions He has for me to make throughout the course of this day. And I pray the same for you.
