Today’s Scripture: For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. Psalm 103:14

God remembers. Those are two words we often skip over as we read the Bible, but they are powerful words that can bring hope to the hopeless.

Humans-even the best of us-forget. When a friend, neighbor, or loved one is sick, we rally to bring them physical and emotional support. But within a few months, that person is often off of our checklist. We’ve moved on to other concerns, but God doesn’t forget.

A foster child who gets tossed around the system, bouncing from house to house, might feel forgotten by the world. He’s never experienced love. He doesn’t feel as if his life has value. He has no purpose, but there is a God in Heaven Who remembers.

A widow still sorrows over the death of her husband. Her friends have tried to bring her a measure of comfort. In the years that follow her loss, people have seemed to move on past her grief, but God hasn’t forgotten.

Perhaps today you’re grieving, hurting, broken. Maybe your heart is split, and nobody seems to understand. If that’s you, then let these words speak to you. God remembers you, He loves you, and He cares for you.
